Emily Notebaert signs early with SHSU

Emily Notebaert of Rochester, NY, has signed a letter-of-intent to attend Sam Houston and bowl for head coach Brad Hagen in 2014.
Currently a senior at Gates Chili High School in Rochester, Notebaert has been the Division II player of the year in New York in back-to-back years. She has participated in several prestigious youth and national bowling events.
“Emily is a fierce competitor who loves to win,” Hagen said. “That's exactly what we need. With her experience and work ethic, she can play a key role in the future success of this program.”
Notebaert finished first with her team at the New York state scholarship tournament which was highlighted by a 300 game. The last two summers, she was posted a top 25 and top 50 finish at the USBC North Pointe junior golf championships which saw more than 600 top female youth bowlers compete.
