Bearkat Trio Academic All-Southland

Defender Ashley Fluty, goalkeeper Kylie Hambleton and midfielder Mariah Titus of Sam Houston State have been named to the 2013 Academic All-Southland Conference honor squad.
Fluty, a junior health major from Roanoke, has compiled a 3.88 overall grade point average during her three seasons as a Bearkat. She was a key factor on a defensive back line that posted eight shutouts this season, the third highest total in the league.
Hambleton, a sophomore management information systems major from Katy, owns a 3.86 overall GPA. An All-Southland honorable mention selection in goal for the Bearkats this year, Hambleton totaled 113 saves this season starting 20 times in goal.
Titus, a sophomore health major from Bedford, holds a 3.52 overall GPA. She led the Bearkats in scoring with eight goals this season. She was a second team All-Southland selection.
The Academic All-Southland Conference squad is selected by vote of the league's head soccer coaches, academic coordinators and sports information directors.
