
Win A Year's Free Rent At The Grove

One sharp-shooting Sam Houston State student will walk away with a year's free rent at The Grove in the fourth annual "Great Bearkat Shootout" presented by The Grove at the final Sam Houston State men's basketball game of the year Thursday, Feb. 28.
That night the Bearkats play host to arch rival Nicholls State at 7:45 p.m. in Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum in the nightcap of a Southland Conference women's/men's basketball doubleheader at Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum
The Grove features luxury off-campus living with private bedroom suites and a clubhouse loaded with amenities. The Grove is located at 2101 Sycamore Avenue.

The "Shootout" begins February 20 as soon as the final buzzer sounds to end Bearkat men's basketball game with Stephen F. Austin.
Each student wishing to compete will come onto the Johnson Coliseum floor to shoot a free throw.
If they hit the first shot they will get a Great Bearkat Shootout t-shirt provided by The Grove.
If they hit three in a row they will be asked to stay and compete in round two where the remaining students will shoot until they miss .
When all but two contestants have been eliminated, the two finalists will compete in a spot-shot contest to see who can rack up the most points.
Student-athletes are not eligible to win the grand prize but can shoot for the t-shirt.
Official Rules for the Great Bearkat Shootout
1. Must be an enrolled student at SHSU.
2. Must have an activated BearkatOne Card.
3. Entry form must be completely filled out.
4. No hard sole shoes (dress shoes, boots, etc.)
5. Student Athletes may compete but are not eligible for the grand prize.
Everybody will win a prize including gift coupons for all participants and t-shirt for everyone that makes a free throw.
