The March poll is the final NTCA ranking before the NCAA Division I selections committee makes its picks for the 2013 Elite Eight. The tournament participants will be announced Wednesday, March 27.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers are the No. 1 rated team in the March poll. Central Missouri stands two followed by Maryland-Eastern Shore, Arkansas State and Vanderbilt.
Wisconsin-Whitewater remains sixth in the poll, followed by Sam Houston State, Fairleigh Dickinson,
Stephen F. Austin and Saint Francis (Pa.) to round out the top 10.
Sam Houston owns a 97-36 record in dual match play this year including a 37-26 mark against the current top 20.
"We're excited about where we stand right now," SHSU head coach Brad Hagen said. "We made the shots we had to and that's what it's all about. Our team has put together an impressive record this year. I couldn't be prouder of them."
