Sam Houston Twilight Meet Thursday

The Sam Houston men's and women's track and field teams will get their final warm-up for next week's Southland Conference championship Thursday as they host the Bearkat Twilight Meet at the Meredith York Track and Field Center.
Athletes from Northwestern State, Houston, Rice, Texas Southern and North Texas will compete in the meet as well.
Field events begin Thursday at 1 p.m. with the men's and women's discus. Running events start at 6:30 p.m. on the track at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium.
The Southland Conference outdoor track and field championships will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday May 10-12. McNeese State is hosting the event this year in Lake Charles, La.

3:30 p.m. – Long jump, Triple jump (Women)
3:45 p.m. – Shot Put

6:30 p.m. – 4x100m Relay
6:40 p.m. – 400m Hurdles
6:55 p.m. – 400m Dash
7:15 p.m. – 100m Dash
7:30 p.m. – 100m Hurdles (Women), 110m Hurdles (Men)
7:50 p.m. – 800m Run
8:05 p.m. – 200m Dash
8:30 p.m. – 1500m Run
8:55 p.m. – 4x400m Relay
9:15 p.m. – 5,000m Run
