DENTON -- Two first half goals by North Texas doomed the Bearkats to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Mean Green.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kylie Hambleton limited the damage, making nine saves while facing 28 total shots in the game.

The Bearkats were only able to muster seven shots against North Texas with four on target. Freshman defender Megan Bennett had three shots, all of which were on target.

After scoring six goals in the season opener against Texas Southern, the Bearkats have been shut out in their last three games.

Sam Houston (1-2-1) will hope to rebound at home against Prairie View A&M Sunday at 7 p.m.
