Fling for a Fiesta Thursday Night

The “Fling for a Fiesta” presented by Bill Fick Ford will highlight excitement at Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum Thursday when Sam Houston hosts a basketball doubleheader with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Thursday's women's game tips at 5:30 p.m. and the men's contest follows at 7:45 p.m.
One Sam Houston student will have the opportunity to shoot from half court to win a Ford Fiesta.
Students can register Thursday at the LSC Mall area from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or at Johnson Coliseum starting at 5:00 p.m. prior to the women's game.
Prior to halftime of the men's game, five contestants will be selected to toss a bean bag from the baseline to center court.
The individual that lands the bean bag closest to center court will be given the opportunity to shoot from half court to win the Ford Fiesta.
The five contestants will participate at halftime of the men's game in the bean bag toss. The half-court shot will be taken during a media timeout during the second half of the men's game.
Even if the contest misses the half-court shot, other prizes will be awards including an Ipad for first place in the bean bag throw, a $100 gift card for the runner-up and a $50 gift card for second runner-up.
