Saturday Nov. 22 before UCA Game

All former letter winners from Sam Houston's 17 intercollegiate sports teams are invited to a special “Bearkat Letter Winners Tailgate” before the final home football game of the 2014 season.
Tailgate for the November 22 football clash with Central Arkansas at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium will begin at 12 noon. Kickoff is 3 p.m.
That Saturday has been designated as “Letter Winners' Day” and will feature a special pregame recognition for the seniors from the 2014 football team.
“We want to invite the former student-athletes from all our sports back to celebrate Letter Winner's Day on November 22,” SHSU director of athletics Bobby Williams said. “Sam Houston has won five Southland Conference Commissioner's Cup all-sports titles in the past decade. The great thing about winning the cup is that every player in each sport contributes to earning the cup. We hope to see as many of our former Letter Winners as possible.”
The new Letter Winners tailgate will start at noon in Bearkat Alley north of the scoreboard. Food and drinks will be provided. All former Bearkat letter winners are invited.
