Sam Houston lost a pair of matches in Dallas Friday and Saturday, falling 6-1 to UTEP and 5-0 to SMU.

Karen Martinez picked up the Bearkats only point in the two matches, winning 6-1 6-2 over Matilda Rose at No. 6 singles in the UTEP loss.

The Mustangs earned the doubles point with wins at number two and three doubles.

SMU won at number one, two, three and five singles. The other matches were unfinished.
