Third baseman Tori Koerselman went 2-for-3, bring in two runs for the Bearkats in an 8-3 non-conference softball loss to Texas State in San Marcos Wednesday afternoon.

Haley Baros started in the circle for Sam Houston. Shelby Lancaster entered in the fourth and took the loss. Tayler Atkinson pitched the final inning and two thirds.

Sam Houston returns to Southland Conference action this weekend, traveling to Hammond, La., for a three-game series with Southeastern Louisiana.

The Bearkats' next home action is a doubleheader with Texas Southern Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Softball Complex.
