Colorado St Pueblo game completes 2014 schedule

Three-time defending Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference champion Colorado State University Pueblo will play Sam Houston State in Huntsville on Saturday, September 13.
The announcement of the first meeting between the Bearkats and the Thunderwolves by SHSU director of athletics Bobby Williams completes the 2014 football schedule for Sam Houston.
Colorado State Pueblo has rolled up a 34-3 record the past three seasons, earning NCAA Division II national playoff berths each year.
Sam Houston stands 34-10 during the last three years. The Kats are one of only three football programs to earn berths in each of the last three FCS playoffs.
The 2014 Bearkat football schedule will see Sam Houston play five home games at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium. In addition to the Sept. 13 duel with the Thunderwolves, SHSU will play host to Alabama State Aug. 30, McNeese Oct. 11, Abilene Christian Oct. 25 and Central Arkansas Nov. 22.
The Bearkats and the SFA Lumberjacks will duel in the 89th “Battle of the Piney Woods” at Reliant Stadium in Houston Saturday, Nov. 1.
Road games for Sam Houston include games at Eastern Washington Aug. 23, LSU Sept. 6, Lamar Sept. 27; Northwestern State Oct. 18; Incarnate Word Nov. 8; and Houston Baptist Nov. 15.
