Freshman Bella Costa won at number one singles and paired with Natalie Petaia to win the number three doubles pro set for the only victories for Sam Houston in a 6-1 Southland Conference dual match loss to Abilene Christian Saturday.

The match completes the Bearkats' 2014 home schedule.

Sam Houston will wrap up the season on the road next week, playing Nicholls in Humble Tuesday in a make-up of a match canceled by rain and at Stephen F. Austin and Northwestern State Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Abilene Christian stands 14-4 for the season while Sam Houston State dropper to 4-10.
