Autographed football jerseys (including a Peyton Manning jersey) and football helmets along with great golf and fishing trips and more than 100 other exciting items are up for bid Friday July 25.
That's when the 26th annual Sam Houston State University Football Dinner and Auction takes place at Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum.
The annual event which benefits the Bearkat football enrichment fund will begin at 5 p.m. Individual tickets are $75 and a table of eight is $600.

Since 1988, the annual fundraiser has given Sam Houston alumni and fans an opportunity to bid on great items and enjoy fellowship and an outstanding meal while helping to create an even stronger Sam Houston Football program. All bids helping raise money for the Bearkat football enrichment fund.
“This is an exciting time for Bearkat football. This event will help build an even stronger program here at Sam Houston,” head coach K.C. Keeler said. “All money raised from tickets sales and the auction will benefit the young men who represent our university and community as Bearkat football players."

Sam Houston stands as one of only three FCS programs that have earned berths in the NCAA Division I playoffs each of the past three years. The Bearkats own the FCS's longest current home winning streak with 22 victories at Bowers Stadium since 2010.
The Bearkats have put together a 34-10 record during the past three years that includes two Southland Conference titles and a pair of trips to the FCS National Championship game in Frisco, Texas.
Proceeds from the annual Football Dinner and Auction help Sam Houston State maintain this level of success.
Bearkat football has received national and regional exposure with 29 television appearances on the ESPN family of networks, ComCast Sports and the Southland Conference TV network during the past three seasons.
