Season Ticket Pick-Up Party Saturday Morning

A special "Season Ticket Holder Pick-Up Party" will be held at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium this Saturday from 7:30 to 10 a.m.
Bearkat fans who already have ordered their season seats are invited to the event which will feature a complimentary breakfast in the Bearkat Lounge while watching the football team scrimmage.
Attendees may pick up their season tickets and their "Orange Out" t-shirt as well.
The game-condition workout is the second of three scrimmages scheduled during the Kats' 2014 preseason camp. The final scrimmage will be Thursday August 14.
Sam Houston opens the season on ESPN national television Saturday August 23 in the FCS Kickoff at Cheney, Washington, against Eastern Washington. The contest matches teams that have both appeared in the NCAA National Championship Game in Frisco during the past four years.
Sam Houston's football success during the past three seasons has made tickets at Bowers Stadium a hot item. The Bearkats are one of only three FCS programs to earn NCAA post-season playoff berths each of the past three years.
Reserved chair back season tickets are $250. The price includes midfield sideline tickets to the “Battle of the Piney Woods” at Reliant Stadium, one complimentary parking pass at Bowers Stadium, a $100 tax deductible donation to the Bearkat Champions Fund that helps support scholarships for student-athletes and a 2014 premium gift item.
Bleacher reserved season tickets are $100. The price includes lower corner tickets to the “Battle of the Piney Woods” and a 2014 premium gift item.
All season ticket holders earn priority points and access to exclusive events and priority towards purchasing tickets to premium away games, NCAA playoff contests and National Championship events.
SHSU will host five home contests at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium in 2014.
Season tickets are on sale at the athletic ticket office located in the Ron Mafrige Field House and online at www.gobearkats.com . Ticket office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The ticket office telephone is (936) 294-1729.
Tickets for Sam Houston's Sept. 6 road game at LSU also are on sale now. Sunday, August 10, is the deadline for Sam Houston fans to purchase tickets in the Bearkats' section at LSU. Each ticket is $45 plus processing fees.
The Sam Houston State game will be LSU's first contest in the newly-expanded Tiger Stadium, which will feature a seating capacity of more than 100,000.
The Bearkats open their 2014 schedule Saturday August 23 in the FCS Kickoff at Eastern Washington at 2:30 p.m. (Central). Sam Houston plays its home opener at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium in Huntsville Saturday, August 30.
LSU opens on August 30 against Wisconsin in Houston in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff.
