Sam Houston up to No. 6 in STATS FCS Rankings

Sam Houston moved up to No. 6 in the STATS FCS media poll and No. 10 in the NCAA Coaches rankings in the final regular season voting for the 2015 season.
The Bearkats defeated Central Arkansas 42-13 Saturday in Conway to complete an 8-3 season and finish as runner-up in the Southland Conference. Sam Houston has ranked among the top 25 in both polls each week during the year. The Kats have been in the top 10 in the FCS media poll nine weeks including one Monday at No. 1 on Sept. 7.
No. 16 ranked Southern Utah visits Elliott T. Bowers Stadium in Huntsville Saturday at 2 p.m. in the NCAA Division I Football Championship opening round. The winner advances to the round of 16 of the playoffs against No. 4 seed McNeese State in Lake Charles, La., in one week.
Wednesday (November 25) at 12 noon is the deadline for all active Bearkat Champions to purchase the playoff series package with priority and for season ticket holders to renew their same seats for any playoff game hosted by Sam Houston.
Student tickets will be $5 each. Students must provide an active Bearkat One Card when purchasing a student ticket.
The first 500 student tickets will be compliment courtesy of Division of Student Services. Students may pick up tickets at the Athletic Ticket Office at the West Box Office of Bowers Stadium during box office hours or on the LSC Mall Area Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Playoff Ticket Prices are:
• $30 for reserved chairbacks
• $23 for bleacher reserved
• $18 for general admission
• $5 for SHSU Students (east side general admission)
All orders will have a $2 per ticket processing fee for the FCS Playoffs hosted by SHSU. All tickets will be at Will Call for the game and may be picked up during the week.
Athletic Ticket Office Hours this week will be Tuesday through Wednesday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., closed Thursday, Friday 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Athletic Ticket Office is located in the West Box Office of Bowers Stadium.
