Sam Houston runners-up in TRACK Kat Klash

The Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated Sam Houston in seven games in the finals of the 2015 TRACK Kat Klash Sunday afternoon to earn the team championship in best-of-seven bracket play.
The contest was a thriller with the final game decided by only 27 pins. Nebraska led three games to two but the Bearkats forced a final game with a 224 to 178 sixth game victory.
The final score for the Cornhuskers was 161 – 172, 180 – 163, 224 – 178, 172 – 212, 214 – 197 , 178 – 224, 215 – 198.
Sam Houston defeated Nebraska in the opening round of bracket play 190 – 170, 189 – 188, 245 – 174, 202 – 191. The Bearkats knocked off Grambling State in four games 197 – 189, 209 – 112, 189 – 148, 182 – 129 then faced the Cornhuskers again in the finals after a four-game win by the Cornhuskers over Central Missouri.
Sunday's action saw Sam Houston win 11 of their 14 matches. Central Missouri finished third in bracket play followed by LIU – Brooklyn, Stephen F. Austin, Adelphi, Louisiana Tech, Texas Southern, Jackson
