Las Cruces, New Mexico – Sam Houston State won at number four, five and six singles in a 4-3 loss to Northern Colorado Saturday.

The contest was the second of three matches the Bearkats are playing on a trip to New Mexico and El Paso this weekend.

Mila Milanovic defeated Hilary Walters 6-4, 6-4 in the number four singles. Karen Martinez earned a victory at number five when Courtney Schulte defaulted. Mortimore won over Marissa Baca 6-3 6-3 at number six singles.

The match was a battle with Fabienne Gettwart and Bailey VanDyke both going three sets at number two and three, respectively.
Sam Houston completes its trip Sunday with a match against the UTEP Miners.
