Soccer sets spring schedule

The Sam Houston State soccer team has scheduled five dates for spring competition, featuring tough match ups at home and on the road.
The Bearkats will open the spring with a game at Texas-San Antonio, February 21 at 1 p.m. Now members of Conference-USA, the Roadrunners are a former conference foe as recent as 2011.
SHSU will play their first home spring game against Navarro College, March 1 at 3:00 p.m. The Kats have a pair of former Navarro players in midfielder Joanna Nigro and incoming transfer Alexis Riggs, who played at Arkansas State last season.
Sam Houston will participate in a 7 vs. 7 Tournament at Texas A&M on March 28th.
The Kats will then play a spring match back in College Station against Texas A&M on April 7 at 7 p.m.
The final scheduled spring game will be at Pritchett Field against the Houston Cougars, April 11 at 4 p.m.
