UIL Region III Cross Country Championships
Date: Monday, October 26, 2015

Entry Deadline: Tuesday, October 20 at 5:00 pm
District Results: The district chairperson is responsible for emailing district meet results to jparker@shsu.edu
Qualifying: The top 3 teams and any individual in the top 10 from your district meet are eligible to compete in the regional championships. Do NOT enter through Direct Athletics unless you have qualified a team or individual for the regional championships.
Entry Procedure: All entries will be done online through Direct Athletics. Each coach of qualifying individuals/teams is responsible for entering their own athletes! Do NOT rely on the district chairperson to do this! Coaches of qualifying teams may enter up to 10 athletes for a team, but can only run 7. All entrants must be certified and eligible by UIL rules. You must declare your 7 runners at packet pickup. The bib numbers and chips for any non-competing athletes must be turned in at packet pickup.

Entry Fee: Individual entries will be charged $20 per bib/entry. If you have qualified a team and enter 7 athletes you will be charged $140. If you enter 10 you will be charged $200. Entry fee is based on the number of athletes entered, not on how many run.
Coaches/administrators may pay via cash, check or credit card.

To pay via credit card, please call (936) 294-3355 during normal business hours (8am to 5pm) Monday through Friday. If no answer, please leave a voicemail and your call will be returned.
Parking: Cost for parking is $5 per car (cash only). There will be no cost of parking for school buses and clearly marked school vehicles (no passes needed). Unmarked school vehicles need to email jparker@shsu.edu prior to 5pm on Friday, October 23 and a parking pass will be placed in your school packet. No charge for parking on Sunday, October 25.
Parking lots will open at 6:15 am on the day of competition. In order to reduce traffic congestion, please do not enter park until 2 hours prior to your scheduled race.
Packet Pickup: Packets may be picked up from 4-6pm on Sunday, October 25 @ Kate Barr-Ross Park. The course will be open for inspection from 4-7pm. Packets may also be picked up the morning of October 26, beginning at 7am.
Numbers: Numbers, pins and timing chips will be found in each packet. Each number will be assigned to a specific athlete. Please be sure that each athlete's number is visible on the front of their uniform and the athlete has their assigned chip securely attached to their shoe.

Team Scoring: Team scores will be computed by totaling the top five runners' finish positions. The 6th and 7th runners will count as displacers. Teams with less than five runners will not be totaled in the team scores.
Results: All results will be posted live at www.flashresultstexas.com and will be posted at www.gobearkats.com following the competition.
Protests: Protests must be in writing and delivered to the meet referee within 30-minutes of the posting of results.
State Qualifiers: The first 4 teams in each division and the top 10 individuals not already on one of the advancing teams in the regional meet qualify for the state meet.
Awards: The awards ceremony will be held on the softball field to the west of the finish line according to the above schedule. Trophies will be presented to the first place team in each division, medals to the team members of the first 3 teams in each division and medals to the first 3 individuals in each division.
T-Shirts: T-Shirts will be sold at the meet site the day of competition through Fine Designs Inc.

From the South: Traveling north bound on I-45, take exit #116. Stay straight through right on frontage road. Turn right on to TX-75. Kate Barr-Ross Park will be on the left.
From the North: Traveling south bound on I-45, take exit #116. Turn left on to TX-30. Turn left onto the I-45 north bound frontage road. Turn right on to TX-75. Kate Barr-Ross Park will be on the left.
