Kats wrap up FDU Jamboree 4th

The Sam Houston State bowling team closed out their second event of the season, with a 4th place finish at the 27-team FDU Jamboree.
The Kats entered the final day of competition as the No. 2 seed, but dropped matches against LIU-Brooklyn and Fairleigh Dickenson during bracket play.
“We have to come out and compete better than we did today,” said head coach Brad Hagen. “We put ourselves in position to win this tournament, but just didn't make the shots wee needed to.”
Heather Penatzer was sixth in the overall standings and was named to the all-tournament team.
The Bearkats finished the tournament 8-4 overall.
