Majauskas named NABC All-District

Aurimas Majauskas, 6-8 junior center for Sam Houston, has been voted as a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) second team All-District selection.
The 2015-16 NABC Division I All-District teams are voted upon by member coaches of the NABC.
Thomas Walkup (Stephen F. Austin), Zeek Woodley (Northwestern State), Rashawn Thomas (A&M-Corpus Christi), Anthony Odunsi (Houston Baptist) and Jordan Howard (Central Arkansas) comprised the All-District first team.
Majauskas joined Derrick Griffin (Texas Southern), Adrian Rodgers (Southern), Ladaruis Tabb, Alabama A&M and Clide Geffrard (Stephen F. Austin) on the second team.
Majauskas helped lead Sam Houston to 18 victories this year as the Bearkats finished third in the Southland Conference and reached the semifinals of the league's post-season tournament. He averaged 13.9 points and 5.4 rebound per game in Southland Conference play.
The center scored in double figures in 24 games and pulled down double figure rebounds five times. He led the squad in scoring in 14 contests. He finished the second ranked No. 6 in the Southland in field goal accuracy.
