
A&M game moved to College Station

Sam Houston's softball doubleheader with Texas A&M, scheduled for 4:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) has been moved to College Station due to wet grounds at the Softball Complex.
The pair will play a single game. Start time is still to be announced but will probably be between 5 and 5:30 p.m.
Texas A&M blanked Sam Houston 8-0 in five innings in the pair's first meeting in College State February 17. Aggie ace Samantha Snow allowed the Bearkats only one hit in the hour and 42 minute contest. Snow has gone on to become the A&M women's ace in the circle. She sports s 19-7 overall record and 3.45 earned run average.
The Aggies' victory over Alabama this weekend ended a five-game losing streak. Texas A&M stands 32-11 for the year and 6-9 in Southeastern Conference play.
Sam Houston dropped two of its three games in a Southland Conference series versus Houston Baptist last weekend. The Bearkats stand 15-27 for the season and are 7-11 in league action.
Second baseman Dani Allen (.380 batting average), third baseball Breanna Homer (.357), catcher Katie Doerre (.354), shortstop Tiffany Castillo (.292) and designated player Ashley Goetz (.291) are the top hitters for Sam Houston.
Lindsey McLeod (7-9) and Taylor Atkinson (7-10) are the top pitchers for the Bearkats.
Texas A&M sports an offense that is batting .338. Tori Vidales (.421), April Ryan (.407) and Kelli Milligan (.384) are the Aggies' top threats at the plate.
Sam Houston returns to Southland Conference action this weekend, traveling to West Texas for a three-game series with Abilene Christian Friday and Saturday.
The Bearkats will play their final three home games at the Softball Complex Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30, when Sam Houston plays host to the University of the Incarnate Word.
