Orange Out shirts, tickets available

HUNTSVILLE – With one day remaining until the season opener, tickets and t-shirts are still on sale for second-ranked Sam Houston State football's annual Orange Out game presented by KSAM and Suddenlink.
The Bearkats take on Oklahoma Panhandle State this Saturday at 6 p.m. from Bowers Stadium. Official 'Orange Out' shirts are on sale for just $10 through the University Bookstore, Barefoot Athletics and BearkatGear.com. Fastsigns will also be providing scrolling banners to the first 300 fans.
Game seats are on sale for as low as $13 by calling the Sam Houston ticket office at (936) 294-1729 or by visiting GoBearkats.com. Bleacher reserved tickets are available at $18-$23 while reserved chairback seats are priced at $25-$30. Students and faculty with a valid Bearkat OneCard receive free admission.
At the conclusion of the first quarter, Sam Houston athletics will recognize the 2016 Southland Conference champion Bearkat baseball team. The squad won the regular season and tournament championship, doing so in the same season for the first time in team lore.
Meanwhile, on the gridiron, the Bearkats return 16 positional starters from a team that went 11-4 and advanced to the FCS Playoffs semifinals for the fourth time in five years a season ago. Sam Houston is picked as the overwhelming favorite to win the Southland Conference by both the league's coaches and sports information directors.
