After a slow start on Day 1 of the Prairie View A&M Invitational, the No. 2-ranked Bearkats came roaring back on Saturday.
Sam Houston went 5-0 during the traditional team matches to even it's record for the tournament. Three times on Saturday the Kats topped 1,000 with a high match of 1,032 in a win over SFA.
Madysen Keller is tops on the team and third overall with a 214 average, including a high game of 225. Heather Penatzer is fourth in the field with a 209 average and a high score of 236. Lynne Fishler had the high game of the day for the Kats, bowling a 256 in the opener against Jackson State.
The Kats currently sit in 5th place overall and trail Vanderbilt by 92 pins with one more traditional team match on Sunday morning. The bracket play will follow where the top four teams will compete for the title.
