HUNTSVILLE – After opening up the season with a pair of wins, the Sam Houston State Bearkats will hit the road once again when they take on No. 17 Texas A&M at the Aggie Softball Complex on Wednesday in College Station.
The game can be watched live on SEC Network+, available on the WatchESPN and the ESPN apps, with Matt Simon and Casey Richardson on the call. First pitchis scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Kats picked up wins over Prairie View and Grambling State over the weekend at the ULM Mardi Gras Classic, while the Aggies opened up their 2017 slate last weekend with a perfect 4-0 weekend that included wins over Lamar, Central Michigan and Ohio State.
Wednesday will serve as a homecoming of sorts for Bearkat head coach Bob Brock who spent 16 seasons at the helm of the Aggie program, winning 688 games and three national titles.
Sam Houston got a big weekend in Monroe from Tori Koerselman, who scored four times and hit safely in half of her 16 at-bats with three RBI at the Mardi Gras Classic. In all, the Kats hit .313 for the weekend, slugging .427 with 10 extra-base hits in the five-game event.
Meanwhile, the Aggies were led by Tori Vidales who drove in a team-high five runs with a double, triple and homer at the season-opening Aggie Classic. Sophomore Samantha Show, who also hit a home run, finished the weekend 2-0 with a save while striking out 11 in 11 innings of work.
SERIES vs TEXAS A&M
This will be the 108th meeting between the Bearkats and Aggies with Texas A&M holding a 94-13 advantage in the all-time series. Sam Houston will be going for its first win over the Aggies since the 1995 season and its first win in College Station since 1988.
