Bowlers head to New Jersey

The fourth-ranked Sam Houston bowling team heads to New Jersey to take part in the Hawk Flight Invitational.
The tournament will give the Kats a chance to see some team from the east coast that they don't see on a regular basis.
“We don't get to bowl against a lot of these teams week-in and week-out,” said head coach Brad Hagen. “As we move into the last few tournaments, it is important for us to pick up some head-to-head victories against these teams.”
The 16-team field features eight teams in the top 25 including No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 6 FDU and No. 9 Delaware State.
Eleven matches are scheduled during qualifying across two days of competition. Teams will compete in 5 (five game) Baker total pinfall games on Friday. Teams will compete in 5 Traditional matches on Saturday. Matches will continue with 1 traditional game match Sunday morning. The win-loss record of round robin play will determine the bracket on the last day.
