HUNTSVILLE – The Sam Houston State Bearkats will put an end to their 2017 midweek slate when head to Texas Southern on Tuesday night at Memorial Park.
The game is set for a 6:00 p.m. first pitch at Memorial Park. Fans can follow along via live stats or by following @BearkatsSB on Twitter.
Sam Houston will be looking to get back in the win column after dropping two of three in each of their last two weekend series, including last weekend at Lamar. The Kats already own a 5-1 win over the Tigers earlier this year in Huntsville.
Meanwhile, the Tigers will enter the game as winners of five of their last seven contests and have won each of their first three series to begin SWAC play.
The Bearkats will then return home for the first of four weekend series to close out the Southland Conference slate, beginning Friday with a series-opening doubleheader against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
SERIES vs TEXAS SOUTHERN
The Bearkats have squared off with the Tigers every year since 2007, including earlier this season when the Kats picked up a 5-1 win in Huntsville. Sam Houston is 38-1 all-time against TSU with the lone loss in the series coming in 2014 in Houston.
