HUNTSVILLE – With the kickoff to the 2017 Sam Houston State football season less than three months away, tickets have now gone on sale to the general public for the Battle of the Piney Woods at NRG Stadium.
The annual rivalry game against Stephen F. Austin is set for Saturday, October 7, at the home of the NFL's Houston Texans. Since the game shifted to Houston in 2010, the Bearkats have won six of the seven meetings, including each since 2011.
Fans who have not already purchased their tickets for the game can do so by visiting GoBearkats.com, by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at (936) 294-1729 or by visiting the ticket office on the west side of Bowers Stadium.
Ticket prices start at $15 for the end zone and go up to $43 for midfield seats. Corner seats can be purchased for $25, while sideline corner seats are available or $30 and premium sideline are $35.
A group rate can be applied for a purchase of 10 or more tickets.
