Why did you choose to further your soccer career at Sam Houston?
“Sam Houston is close to home, has a family environment, great coaching staff, is known for my major, and competes at a high level.”
How would you describe your strengths on the field?
“Heading. I am very strong in the air and I know how to use my body to turn. My strength is my strength.”
What are some of your hobbies outside of soccer?
“I love to hang out with my friends and my dog. I'll take my dog to the dog park or go to football/baseball games with my friends.”
Do you have any pregame superstitions?
“I have to listen to "Fergalicious" before each game and I have to always wear my pink headband and hair tie.”
What are your personal goals entering the season?
“I would like to become more fit than I have ever been before. I would like to be able to play at 100% for a full 90 minutes.”
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
“I would visit Nicaragua to visit the less fortunate. A few of my friends have been there and were able to play soccer with them and learn more about their culture. I've never been out of the country so I think it would be an eye opener to see other parts of the world.”
Who is your favorite soccer player and why?
“My favorite soccer player and biggest inspiration is Abby Wambach. When she played, she was never afraid of anything and would head the ball like no one's business!! She would win almost every 50/50 ball in the air without hesitation.”
What three words would you use to describe yourself?
“Gregarious, tenacious, spirited”
What does a perfect day look like to you?
“A perfect day would be sleeping in, going outside to swim or adventure Austin with friends and then ending the day with family game night!”
If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be and why?
“I would live in the movie "In Time" because life in that movie is so much more than revolving around materialistic items. People's lives are based off of time so there is more to life than wasting it away. People are determined and actually have a purpose to their everyday lives.”
If you weren't playing soccer, what sport would you be playing?
“If I wasn't playing soccer I would probably be playing softball. I was most serious about soccer and softball up until 8th grade when the practices clashes. I basically had to choose one because I didn't have enough time for both. I made the right decision!”
Who are your all-time favorite artists/bands?
“I LOVE the Chainsmokers. I'm more of a song lover compared to artists. I like any hip hop or pop and the occasional rap song here and there. Not a huge fan of country but I think that'll change this year.”
Where is the most interesting place you've visited and why?
“The most interesting place I've visited was the Texas Rangers Museum in Waco. I had to do a school project on the Texas Rangers so my dad took me to the museum. I learned A LOT and that visit played a big part when I finally decided that I wanted to be a CJ major.”
If you had a bucket list, what is one thing that would be on it?
“Sky diving! My mom would not approve but I really, really want to sky dive.”
