Bowlers set for Hawk Classic

The Bearkats bowlers are back on the road again this weekend, heading to Delaware for the UMES Hawk Classic. It will be the third straight weekend of competition for the Bearkats.
Sam Houston is coming off it's best finish of the season, taking third at the Warhawk Classic.
"I really liked the way we were bowling last weekend," said head coach Brad Hagen. "We were going up against a strong field and stepped up to the challenge. We need to continue that again this weekend in what is once again a very good field."
TOURNAMENT INFO
The UMES Hawks Classic Invitational is hosted by seventh-ranked Maryland-Eastern Shore. The tournament will take place in Millsboro, Delaware, at the Millsboro Lanes. The tournament begins Friday with five Baker team matches, continues Saturday with five traditional team matches and concludes Sunday with Baker best four-of-seven playoff matches.
TOURNAMENT FIELD
Of the 18 teams competing, 13 of the teams (including the Kats) slated to take part in the weekend's tournament are ranked. Besides the fourth-ranked Bearkats, the following ranked teams are in the field: Vanderbilt (1), host UMES (7) Delaware State (8), FDU (9), Tulane (10), North Carolina A&T (11), Sacred Heart (12), Saint Francis U (13), Lincoln Memorial (14), LIU Brooklyn (19), Monmouth (23) and Kutztown (24). The other five teams include Caldwell, Coppin State, Duquesne, St. Francis Brooklyn and Youngstown State.
