Bowling posts 4-1 mark at Music City Classic

In the final regular season tournament of the year, the Bearkat bowlers are off to a good start. Sam Houston opened the first day of the Music City Classic with a 4-1 record and stand in sixth overall in the standings.
The Kats averaged 193.6 over their five matches on Friday and are 126 pins out of the top four heading into Saturday.
“We had to have a solid and today was a day where everyone contributed,” said head coach Brad Hagen. “The last two sets we had the opportunity to play our future line ups and they did a great job at responding and stepping up even with demanding conditions.”
The Kats opened with a pair of victories Arkansas State and UAB. After a loss to Alabama State Sam Houston bounced back with a 394 pin victory over Alabama A&M. They closed out the day with a win over Belmont Abbey College.
Saturday's play at the Smyrna Bowling Center starts at 9:30 a.m. The Kats will get the morning started with University of Central Missouri.
