Kats remain 9th at Kutztown

After the second day of action at the Kutztown Invitational, the Bearkats remained in 9thplace following another 3-2 day. The Kats are 6-4 overall for the tournament and will face Tulane in Sunday's Bracket play.
Bea Hernandez was the top individual for the Kats, with a 216 average over five games to place 6thin the 210 player field. Her top game was a 267.
“Bea was real good for us today and was pretty consistent from start to finish,” said head coach Brad Hagen. “As a team, we just can't keep putting ourselves in a hole early. For the second straight day we have had to overcome a slow start.”
For the second straight day the Kats opened with losses in two of their first three matches, notching a win against Sacred Heart. They closed out the day with wins against Morgan State and Delaware State.
In addition to Hernandez, Hayley Connelly posted a top 30 finish with a 199 average to place 27thoverall.
