Kats post perfect mark in New Jersey

EGG HARBOR, N.J. – The Sam Houston bowlers posted a perfect record on the opening day of the Hawk Flight Invite and are currently in third place on total pinfall.
The Kats won all five matches on Friday, including three top-15 victories. They trail Vanderbilt and FDU in total pins, with Vandy out to a commanding 183-pin lead over the Kats.
“5-0 is great any day of the week, but we left too many pins out there today,” said head coach Brad Hagen. “We're always trying to avoid the mistakes that are costly and most importantly momentum killers.”
The Kats were consistent all day, with their high game a 992 and low was a 928. The Kats have a 3-pin lead over Maryland Eastern Shore for third place.
“We get everything cleaned up tomorrow we'll have the opportunity to have a great weekend and move up the ladder before positioning on Sunday,” Hagen said.
