McCall SLC track athlete of week

FRISCO — Sam Houston State hurdler Fabian McCall has been named the Southland Conference Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
McCall had a solid debut to the 2020 indoor season at Texas A&M's Ted Nelson Invitational on Saturday. He captured first place in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.81 seconds, one second off the meet record, while competing against student-athletes from Kentucky, UT-Arlington, Abilene Christian and Texas A&M in the finals.
The Huntsville native's time is the 15th best in the nation so this indoor season. It is also the top time in the Southland Conference.
