Changes announced for Saturday home hoops

HUNTSVILLE — The Sam Houston State women's basketball game against Houston Baptist scheduled for Saturday at Johnson Coliseum has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns within the Huskie program.

The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Johnson Coliseum.

As a result of the postponement of the women's game, the Bearkat men's basketball team will now play HBU at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Coliseum. The game was originally scheduled for 5 p.m.

The men's game will still be broadcast on ESPN+.

Tickets for Saturday's men's game are available at GoBearkats.com or by calling 936-294-1729. No walk-up ticket sales are offered this season and fans are encouraged to not only secure their tickets in advance, in addition to being aware of and adhere to all university and Coliseum COVID-19 protocols currently in place.

Facial coverings are required for all in attendance in addition to adhering to social distancing guidelines and seat assignments.
