Jones tabbed to All-WAC soccer team

DENVER — Sam Houston junior Brooke Jones has been named to the All-Western Athletic Conference soccer team, the league announced Tuesday.

Jones was named to the All-WAC second team and is tied for second on the team with two goals this season. The Aledo product also has two assists and seven shots on goal.

She was a second-team All-Southland Conference selection in the spring. During her career, Jones has scored 10 career goals and has five assists.

The Bearkats are the third seed in the Southwest Division of the WAC Tournament. Sam Houston will play Utah Valley in the opening round Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Abilene.
