CONWAY, Ark. — The Sam Houston soccer team scored first, but Central Arkansas answered with four straight goals to come away with a 4-2 victory at the Bill Stephens Soccer Complex on Friday.
Freshman
Landri Townsend scored her first collegiate goal in the 13
th minute to put the Bearkats (1-2-1) on top 1-0. UCA scored two goals to close the half and two more to start the second period to seal the victory.
Junior
Jade Dewbre pulled Sam Houston to within two with her in the 72nd minute.
Sam Houston returns home to host Incarnate Word on Sunday at 1 p.m. and Houston Baptist on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in a pair of make up matches that were rescheduled because of inclement weather.
