Soccer battles Southeastern La. to tie

HAMMOND, La. — After three weeks between matches, the Sam Houston soccer team battled Southeastern Louisiana to a 0-0 tie in double overtime at Strawberry Stadium Friday evening.
The Bearkats (0-1-1) had not played since a 1-0 loss to Northwestern State at Pritchett Field on Feb. 12.
Junior Abby DeLozier was perfect in goal for Sam Houston. She record six saves to finish with a clean sheet as the Lions took 18 shots.
The Bearkats had two shots on goal and seven shots overall on the night.
Sam Houston returns to action Sunday when the Kats travel to Thibodaux, Louisiana to face Nicholls at 1 p.m.
