Bowlers post three wins at Music City Classic

The Sam Houston bowlers opened the first day of the Music City Classic posting a 3-2 record.Â

The Kats opened the day strong, posting wins over Lincoln Memorial and Kentucky Wesleyan. They also notched a win against Jackson State before closing the day with a loss to McKendree.

In the overall standings the Kats sit in 7th with a 190.3 average. McKendree leads the way with a 210 average.

Day two will kick off Saturday morning as the Kats take on Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Kats are 225 pins behind fourth place Louisiana Tech for the final spot in Sunday's championship bracket.Â
