Pawlik voted to SLC all-academic team

FRISCO — Sam Houston senior Courtney Pawlik has been named to the 2021 Southland Conference all-academic teams.

The midfielder from Missouri City was selected to the second team. She was named to the President's and Dean's lists following the fall semester.

Pawlik was a key contributer to the Bearkats this season, helping the team reach the finals of the Southland Conference Tournament. She created many scoring opportunities for her teammates and was a great defender.

Pawlik scored a golden goal in the Bearkats' 4-3 come-from-behind victory against Lamar in the opening round of the SLC Tournament, earning all-tournament team honors. Last season she was named to the 2019 Academic All-District VII women's soccer second team by CoSIDA and was a first-team Southland Conference All-Academic selection.

To qualify for the all-academic teams, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or above.
