RUSTON, La. — The Sam Houston soccer team dropped its second road match in a row in a 4-0 setback to Louisiana Tech at Caruthers Field.
The Lady Techsters (3-3-1) scored their first goal late in the eighth minute thanks to a free kick well outside to the left of the box. Anna Loftus sent the shot high to the left over a diving
Abby DeLozier.
Louisiana Tech benefitted from another free kick to go up 2-0. Loftus sent the kick into the box and Lauren Egbuloniu headed low into the center of the net in the 26
th minute.
The Lady Techsters struck again 20 in the final minutes of the half. Morgan Miller scored on a header with an assist from Sophie Fijneman.
Autumn Woodard scored the final goal when she was able to push the ball past goalkeeper
Tatum Krueger into the lower left corner of the net.
The Bearkats (2-4) had five shots on goal.
Landri Townsend had two and
Summer Knox,
Katarina Baehren and
Grace Stine each had one.
