Softball to play 8 fall exhibition games

HUNTSVILLE — The Sam Houston softball team has eight exhibition games this fall at the Bearkat Softball Complex in preparation for the 2022 season beginning in February.

The Bearkats hit the ground running beginning Oct. 1 when they host San Jacinto College at 4 p.m. A familiar opponent comes to Huntsville the following day when Sam Houston welcomes former Southland Conference foe Houston Baptist for a 1 p.m. contest.

The Kats will play back-to-back games the following week as well. They will face Navarro College at 4 p.m. on Oct. 7 and Galveston College at 4 p.m. on Oct. 8.

Sam Houston will play a doubleheader against Blinn College on Oct. 15 beginning at 4 p.m. The Bearkats will finish the fall campaign with another doubleheader against McLennan College on Oct. 30 with the first game scheduled to take place at 1 p.m.
