Bearkats take 4th, Chambers named all-tourney

The Bearkat bowlers recorded another top 4 finish on Sunday, taking fourth place at the Stallings Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T. They have now finished in the top 4 in every tournament this season.
In addition, Elise Chambers earned all-tournament honors with a fourth place finish in the individual standings.
The Kats finished the tournament with an 8-5 record after posting a 1-2 mark on Sunday.
The Kats opened the day with a win over Delaware State, taking the match 4-1. They then jumped on Vanderbilt in the semifinals, taking a 3-0 lead. But they missed on an opportunity to close out Vandy in the fourth game and the Commodores stormed back to take the match in seven games.
In the third place match, the Kats battled back from a 2-0 deficit to take a 3-2 lead in the match against FDU. But the lost a close game 6 189-182 and then FDU closed out the match winning the seventh game.
The Kats will now turn their attention to the USBC Sectionals at USA Bowl in Dallas.
