HUNTSVILLE – A 6-run second inning was too much to overcome for the Sam Houston Bearkats on Thursday night in a 10-5 loss to Abilene Christian at Don Sanders Stadium.
ACU (26-25, 14-14 WAC) touched up SHSU (29-23, 19-9 WAC) starter
Matt Dillard for six runs in the second frame, capping it with a 3-run homer by Grayson Tatrow and kept the Kats at bay behind 5.0 strong innings from its own starter, Tyler Morgan.

Carlos Contreras drove in his 89
th run of the season in the game, while
Walker Janek had a pair of hits and two RBI as well.
