HUNTSVILLE – The Sam Houston Bearkats will be on display on their home court on Tuesdsay when they host Prairie View at Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum.
The Kats dropped two out of three matches over the weekend at the K-State Invitational, narrowly missing out on a winning weekend with a 5-set loss to NC State in the tournament finale.
Tickets are on sale for the match and all Sam Houston students are able to gain free entry with a Bearkat OneCard.

Gray On Verge Of 750th Career Win
The fourth-longest tenured current coach in Division I,
Brenda Gray is in her 39th season at the helm of the Bearkats in 2022, and is 10th in the nation among active coaches with 749 career victories. A victory on Tuesday over Prairie View would give her 750 wins in her career. Her 700
th career victory also came against the Panthers in the last meeting between the teams in the 2019 season opener.
Dyer Named To All-Tournament Team At K-State Invitational
Freshman
Madison Dyer burst onto the scene in a loud way over the weekend, earning all-tournament honors at the K-State Invitational. She racked up 37 kills in the three matches, leading the Kats with an average of 3.08 kills per set and hitting at a .338 clip. The Flower Mound product did much of her damage in the final two matches, with 14 kills against Florida A&M and 18 against NC State. Additionally, she had a hand in four blocks in each match, averaging 1.00 blocks per set for the weekend.
Kats On Display At Home
Tuesday's game will be the only chance Bearkat fans have to catch the Kats at home for nearly a month. Sam Houston does not have another home match on the schedule until it hosts rival Stephen F. Austin on September 24.
