Football Parking Procedures & Policies for 2022
9/15/2022 9:40:00 AM | Football, Athletics
HUNTSVILLE – Sam Houston Athletics has instituted a number of new parking procedures for the 2022 season, designed to increase efficiency and traffic flow around Bowers Stadium.
One of the primary pieces to the change is the separation of parking permits from season and single-game tickets, allowing parking passes to be purchased individually for games throughout the year.
Fans should also be aware that no through traffic will be permitted within the lots on gameday, encouraging a circular traffic flow around Bowers Stadium that includes routes on Bowers Blvd, Sycamore Ave, Bearkat Blvd and Bobby K. Marks Drive (one-way).
Fans are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the PARKING MAP prior to arrival on gameday.
Parking permits and tickets can be purchased online at GoBearkats.com/tickets (link above) or by calling the Bearkat Ticket Office at 936-294-1729.
PERMIT PARKING
- Parking permits are $20 per spot and are purchased separately from either season or single-game tickets
- Must be purchased through the Bearkat Ticket Office by the end of business prior to gameday; Parking permits WILL NOT be sold on gameday
- Permits are sold out for each of the Bearkats' first two (2) home games – Northern Arizona and Texas A&M-Commerce
- A limited number of permits are still available for games vs both Abilene Christian (Nov. 12) and Southern Utah (Nov. 19)
- Permits – either digital or paper - must be scanned at lot entry
- Permits will be received via email along with any game ticket purchases
FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED LOTS
- Those not purchasing parking permits can park in available lots on a first come, first served basis
- Those non-permitted lots are located along Bobby K. Marks Drive, located West of Bowers Stadium
- Those using Bobby K. Marks Drive should know it is a one-way street with traffic flow moving from north to south towards Bowers Blvd
BEARKAT ALLEY
- No parking will be permitted within the Bearkat Alley area, located in the Northwest lot of Bowers Stadium
- Bearkat Alley officially opens two (2) hours prior to kickoff and is open to student organizations and approved businesses and vendors
