HUNTSVILLE — Sam Houston head baseball coach Jay Sirianni officially unveiled the 2023 schedule on Monday and the Bearkats begin the season at Don Sanders Stadium.
 
The Kats will host Rhode Island in a three-game series on Feb. 17-19 then welcome McNeese for a midweek game on Feb. 21. Sam Houston will play at Rice on Feb. 22 before taking part in the Karbach Classic at Dell Diamond in Round Rock with matchups against Iowa on Feb. 24, Kansas State on Feb. 25 and LSU on Feb. 26.
 
Other non-conference home games include Rice on Feb. 28, a series with Illinois March 3-5, against Houston Christian on March 14, Houston on March 28, Dallas Baptist on April 4 and Baylor on April 18.

As part of the Don Sanders Cup Series, Sam Houston will play at Houston on April 11 then face the Cougars in a neutral game on May 16 in Sugar Land at Constellation Field.
 
In WAC play, the Bearkats will host a series against Seattle U on March 10-12, New Mexico State on March 31-April 2, Abilene Christian April 6-8, Utah Valley on April 21-23 and UT Arlington on May 12-14.
 
Conference road series will be at UTRGV on March 17-19, Grand Canyon on March 24-26, Utah Tech on April 14-16, Stephen F. Austin April 28-20 and Tarleton May 18-20.
 
Sam Houston will play road non-conference games at Texas State on March 1, at Texas on March 7, at Baylor on March 21, at Texas A&M on April 25, at UTSA on May 2 and a three-game series at Texas Tech on May 5-7.
