HUNTVSILLE — Lennon Porter scored the game winner right before the half as Sam Houston notched it's first Conference USA home victory with a 2-1 win over Louisiana Tech on Sunday at Pritchett Field.

Pam Murray open down field just 40 seconds into the match. Murray easily snuck the ball past the Lady Techsters' goalkeeper for the 1-0 lead.
With 23 seconds left before halftime,
Ariana Carrington played the ball foward and Porter was able to knock it through for what would prove to be the difference in the contest.
Louisiana Tech finally got on the board in the 86th minute, but Sam Houston's defense denied the Lady Techsters an opportunity to tie it.
Libby Harper made her first start in goal for the Kats and finished with four saves.
