LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Sam Houston stymied the New Mexico State offense to force a 0-0 draw in a battle for tournament seeding on Sunday afternoon.
The Bearkats defense held the Aggies to their first 0-point performance since Sept. 14 when the Aggies lost 2-0 to USC despite the 14 shot attempts by the Aggies. Goalkeeper Savannah Hall had four saves, and the Kats (5-6-3, 3-3-1 CUSA) blocked a last second attempt by NSMU's Loma McNeese to force the draw.
The Bearkats are still searching for rhythm offensively, being held scoreless in their last two matches. The Kats led by Teana Johnson attempted six shots, three of which were on target.
The Kats head home Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. for the final regular season match against the UTEP Miners.
