Hall earns CUSA weekly honor

DALLAS — Fresh off a shutout in a 0-0 draw with New Mexico State, Sam Houston senior Savannah Hall has been named the Conference USA Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.Â
Hall, who was making her first start since Sept. 24, became the first CUSA goalkeeper to record a clean sheet against NM State after keeping the Aggies off the scoresheet on Sunday. She made all four of her saves in the second half as the Bearkats faced 12 shots from the high-powered NMSU attack in the final 45 minutes.
Hall was forced to stop three attempts on goal in a five-minute span from the 69th to 74th minutes.
This is her second GoalKeeper of the Week award this season. She also received the honor on Sept. 19 after posting a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory over Jacksonville State.
